Everything you get for $7.
Real screenshots, not mock-ups. This is what a promoter sees, and what you see behind it.

A first screen like a poster
Your name, your photo, and colours taken from the photo itself. No two EPKs look alike.

Your music plays on the page
Spotify and SoundCloud players straight from your links. No login, no app, and new releases appear by themselves.
Example dataSee who opened it
Views, where people came from, the city, and what they did: played your music, downloaded photos, pressed Book.

Share in one tap
Instagram Story, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, X or email, from a button on your page.
Example dataA link for every promoter
Make one per club, festival or label. See when they open it and what they looked at, with an email the moment they do.

An Instagram Story card, made for you
Built from your main photo and name, with your link ready to paste into a Link sticker.

Bio in three lengths, one tap to copy
One line for a listing, a short one for a programme, a long one for press.

Full-size photos and logo
Promoters download them for posters, with the photographer credited and the logo in original and white.

Booking in five seconds
Your booking address, your agent and your links, where a promoter finds them on a phone.
Same form. Different artists.
Both pages were built with the same ten-minute form. The layout is shared; the colours are taken from each artist's main photo, so no two look alike. Hover to scroll them.

ShyMan
Miami. House, techno, minimal

Ilya Hype
Miami. House, indie dance, progressive house
Everything a promoter asks for, on one page.
The same checklist we give in our guide to DJ press kits, built in rather than left for you to remember.
Your music, playing on the page
Spotify and SoundCloud players pulled in from your links. They update themselves when you release.
A bio in three lengths, ready to copy
One line for a caption, a short paragraph for a festival programme, a long one for press. Each with a copy button.
Dates, upcoming and past
Upcoming shows prove you are active. Past ones move down on their own the day after.
Evidence instead of adjectives
The labels you have released on, the rooms you have played, the artists you have shared a stage with.
Press photos and your logo
Full-size downloads with readable file names, photographer credits, and your logo in original and white.
Tech rider and booking contact
A short DJ or live rider, and one booking address (or your agent) a promoter finds in five seconds on a phone.
See who opened it
Views, where visitors came from, and what they did: played your music, downloaded photos, pressed Book. Personal links tell you which promoter opened it, and when.
Share in one tap
An Instagram Story card made from your photo, plus WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, X and email. Every share is counted in your stats.
An address of your own
Your page lives at yourname.thetestpress.com from the day it goes live. Own a domain? Tell us and we connect it for you, so your press kit lives there instead. Included, no extra cost.
You send links. We send back a page.
Fill in one form
Your Spotify or SoundCloud, two to four photos, your bio and a booking email. Tap the photo that should lead. About ten minutes.
See it straight away
The page is built the moment you press the button. Players come in from your links and the colours from your lead photo, so no two EPKs look alike. Preview it free, change anything.
Put it live
When you like it, $7 a month puts it live at thetestpress.com/epk/yourname. Text it to a booker, put it in your bio, edit it whenever your dates change.
Template, builder, or done for you.
All three get you a press kit. They differ in who does the work and what the promoter sees.
A PDF or Canva template
Free
Quick to make, and you control every pixel.
Out of date the moment it is sent. Music will not play, photos cannot be downloaded at full size, and the copy is trapped in an image.
A free EPK builder
Free or a few dollars
A real link, and you can update it yourself.
You still design and fill in every block, and the result looks like every other page made with the same builder.
Test Press EPK
$7 a month
One form, no layout to design, built for promoters on a phone. And you see who opened it, which a PDF or a free builder never tells you.
It is one page, not a full website. When you need releases, a roster and your own domain, that is the Artist plan.
$7
a month, or $70 a year. Cancel any time.
The design, hosting and every edit you make. Free to build and preview: you pay only when you put it live. When one page stops being enough, the Artist plan is a full website on your own domain.
Questions.
What is an EPK?
An electronic press kit: one place a promoter, label or journalist can find your music, biography, photos, dates and booking contact. For a DJ it replaces the folder of attachments you would otherwise email around.
What should a DJ press kit include?
Music that plays without a login, a biography in a short and a long version, at least two press photos at full size with the photographer credited, upcoming dates, a short tech rider and one booking address. Every Test Press EPK has a place for each of these.
Is an EPK a website?
It is a single web page with its own address, not a full site. That is the point: a link stays current and works on a phone, where a PDF goes out of date and does not play your music. If you need releases, a roster and your own domain, that is a full artist website.
What is the difference between an EPK, a one sheet and a media kit?
A one sheet is a single printed or PDF page, usually for one release. A media kit is the same idea from the advertising world, built around audience numbers. An EPK is the working version for a DJ or artist: music, bio, photos, dates and booking in one link.
Is there a free EPK builder?
Yes, several, and a free template in Canva is another option. They are a good choice if you enjoy designing each block yourself. Ours is free to build and preview: you fill in one form and see the finished, designed page before you pay. It is seven dollars a month once it is live.
Can I see who opened my EPK?
Yes. Your stats show how many people opened your page, where they came from, the city and device, and what they did: played your music, downloaded press photos, copied your bio or pressed Book. Make a personal link for each promoter you send it to and you see exactly when that promoter opened it, with an email the first time they do. No cookies, and no visitor is identified unless you named the link.
How do I share my EPK on Instagram?
Press Share on your page and choose Instagram Story. On your phone it opens Instagram with a story card made from your main photo, name and link, and copies the link for a Link sticker. Put the address in your Instagram bio as well; it is the link promoters look for first.
Do you write my DJ bio?
Paste the bio you already have in up to three lengths: one line, short and long. Each gets a copy button on the page, because a club listing, a festival programme and a magazine each want a different one.
Can I change it later?
Yes, any time, through the private link we email you, and if you lose it, thetestpress.com/epk/manage sends it again. New dates, photos or a new bio show up within a minute. New releases on Spotify and SoundCloud appear in the players without anyone touching it.
What happens if I cancel?
Open your page through your private link (or get it again at thetestpress.com/epk/manage), press Subscription and cancel. The page stays up until the end of the period you paid for, then goes offline. Nothing is deleted, so if you switch it back on it returns as it was.
Can I use my own domain?
Not on the EPK. Every EPK lives at thetestpress.com/epk/yourname. Your own domain comes with the Artist plan, which is a full website rather than one page.
Read before you send one.
- What an EPK actually is, and what it is notTwo of the three words in "electronic press kit" are wrong. What the thing actually is, who really opens it, what belongs in one, and the three formats people build instead.
- What to put in a DJ press kitThe bio lengths, image specs, tech rider and links promoters and press ask for, and how to host it so it is never out of date.
- A real DJ press kit, taken apartMost press kit examples are template screenshots. This is a working one, pulled apart section by section, plus the case for sending promoters a link instead of an attachment.
- The press kit mistakes that quietly lose bookingsTen things that make somebody’s job harder, so they stop reading and move to the next email. None of them are about taste and almost all are fixed in under an hour.
- Sending a press kit to a promoter, and what happens nextThe kit is rarely the problem — the email around it usually is. What that email should say, when to send it, and what happens to it after you press send.
- EPK or press release: they answer different questionsOne says who you are, the other says what just happened. The test is a single question, and sending the wrong one is how a good approach gets ignored.
Ten minutes to a press kit.
