One monthly fee. No build invoice.
The design and the build are covered by the subscription, so there is nothing to pay before the site is live.

What you are comparing it to.
The number only makes sense once it is next to the right thing. These are the three ways an artist or a label usually gets a website.
| Route | Up front | Monthly | Who does the work |
|---|---|---|---|
| A subscription builder | Nothing | Roughly $15 to $25 | You. You are the designer, and the template decides the rest. |
| A freelancer or studio | Roughly $1,500 to $8,000 | Hosting, plus a rate for changes | Them, once. After launch the site is frozen unless you can edit it. |
| Test Press | Nothing | $99 or $199 | Us for the design, build, hosting and upkeep. You for the content. |
The builder is cheaper because you are doing the expensive part. The studio build is better designed but stops improving the day it ships, and the invoice arrives before you know whether the site works. This sits between them on purpose: no cost to start, the design done properly, and the maintenance permanently ours.
In both plans.
- Individual design, not a template
- Build and launch
- Hosting, SSL and your custom domain connected
- A sitemap, structured data and clean metadata on every page
- Automatic image optimization on every upload
- Admin panel with your own login
- Content changes you make yourself, unlimited
Questions.
- Why is there no upfront cost?
- Charging for the build would mean getting paid whether or not the site turns out to be useful. Rolling it into the monthly fee puts the risk of the build on us and keeps our incentive pointed at the site staying worth paying for.
- Is there a minimum term?
- Not currently. If that changes it will apply to new clients only, and you will know the terms before you commit to anything.
- What is not included?
- Your domain registration, which stays in your own account, and anything involving custom development beyond the plan, such as a bespoke store or a ticketing integration. We will quote those separately or tell you to use the tool that already does it.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Your site goes offline and your content is kept for at least 30 days. During that period you can ask us for a machine-readable export, or resume the subscription and the site comes straight back.
- Can I move from Artist to Label later?
- Yes, without a rebuild. The roster, demo inbox and extra logins switch on and your existing pages stay exactly where they are.
